136-Cala-Carril

136 Whitish rock at the base are proximal fore-reef talus of antecedent AST, and are overlain by the prograding (to the left) clinobedded talus and base of the reef core (platey corals) of subsequent HST. The upper part of the HST reef core (branching and massive corals) has been removed by erosion (occurred during subsequent fall and low-satnd of sea level). Beds above the reef core correspond to inner-lagoon lithofacies of the HST of the subsequent 5th-order sequence. Thin Pleistocene skeletal eolian deposits and paleosoils in the uppermost part of the cliff. Cala Carril on the south east coast of Mallorca, Spain (Kendall and Pomar 2004).
