014 Direction of the Progradation of the Llucmajor Miocene Reef, Mallorca

The Llucmajor platform or "Marina de Llucmajor" is an exceptional example of reef-platform complex, showing an extensive southwesterly progradation of up to 20 km. This platform crops out along the sea cliffs of the Cap Blanc area in southern Mallorca , displaying with exquisite detail the internal architecture of the Late Miocene Reef Complex. Cliffs are 90 m high Luis Pomar Pomar (1991) Pomar & Ward (1994).
