230-Up-Newman-Mississippian-Pound-Ga

230 Close up of Little Lime tempestites close to marker 85 of the measured section published by the Geological Survey of Kentucky's 1998 for the Field Trip they conducted. These are interpreted as storm dominated carbonates with wave and current scour at their base, containing gravels of bioclastic debris in a micritic to shaley matrix at the base of the Mississippian Little Lime of the Upper Newman at Pound Gap.
